Diploma of Workplace and Business Coaching (10536NAT)

A first for coaching in Australia and globally

Open Door’s Diploma of Workplace and Business Coaching (10835NAT) achieved a number of ‘firsts’ for coaching in Australia and globally.  The Diploma was first accredited over 12 years ago.  The qualification was the first of it’s kind in Australia.  That is, the first diploma in coaching to be nationally recognised as an accredited course.   In addition, the program was the first diploma accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICP) in the world.   By accrediting the Diploma as an ACTP program, we can offer ICF credentials at the ACC, PCC and MCC level.  Not only that, we are still the only program in the world to be specifically designed around building a culture of coaching in the workplace, offering a qualification in the strategic implementation of coaching and advanced coaching skills.

In 2020, a new version of this qualification was released. Click here for more information about the current version.

Providing the strategy to build coaching culture

Over the years, the program has been continuously updated.  We use feedback from industry and from our clients to inform our continuous improvement processes. We are ensuring that the program is relevant to building coaching culture, and building positive workplace cultures.  This means that the coaching frameworks and methodology are utilised to influence the strategic direction of coaching in organisations.

Strategy for coaching in organisations and advanced coaching skills

Hundreds of managers and leaders in the workplace are now including coaching as part of their leadership skill set.  This means that a strategy is needed for the implementation of coaching.  We are very proud to be leading this coach training in advanced coaching skills and strategy.  Having coaching conversations in the workplace has become the ‘norm’.  In addition, accrediting many professional coaches, who want a qualification, not just a ‘certificate’. Meaning also that you don’t have to achieve multiple ‘levels’ to achieve enough hours for ICF credentials.

Delivering service excellence

Open Door is a Registered Training Organisation (Provider number 21858).  This means the Diploma qualification is underpinned by stringent quality standards.  We are audited by ASQA, the regulatory body.  Refer to training.gov.au/21858 for more information.  Maintaining this accreditation over the years is made possible by meeting the needs of people in the workplace and meeting quality standards.   Not all organisations are prepared to go to this effort.  But for Open Door, being a high-quality RTO is an investment in delivering service excellence.
