Description
MHFA Refresher: Mental Health First Aid Refresher Course
Refreshing your mental health first aid skills is very important. In particular, as new information becomes available and research is updated, it is good to be up-to-date. In addition, it might be some time since you have re-visited the mental health action plan ALGEE.
Refresher courses are available for individuals that have completed a full 2-day Mental Health First Aid® face-to-face course or a Blended or Blended Online Mental Health First Aid course, followed by the completion of an accreditation assessment within the last 3 years. In addition whether you have completed your original course with Open Door, or alternatively another practitioner, you are eligible to attend this refresher course.
The course enable accredited Mental Health First Aiders™ to revise their knowledge and skills, and to extend their accreditation for a further 3 years. In addition, we create a psychological safe learning environment, whereby we can all learn from the facilitator and each other.
