“Coaching’s fine, but you can’t coach everyone. Most of my team needs mentoring. I have to tell them what to do because they have no idea.”
This statement came from a manager in response to a simple question: “Do you have any questions?” Instead of a question, it was more of a strong opinion. Interestingly, we hear this comment often in coaching discussions.
