In 1990, Dr Charlie Pellerin was in his eighth year leading the Hubble Space Telescope development team. His team built, and then launched the world’s most anticipated telescope, only to discover after the launch, that the Hubble telescope had a flawed mirror, and was useless.
Just when Charlie thought things could not get any worse, the Failure Review Board reported that the root cause was a “leadership failure.” Charlie was the leader of the Hubble team.
After mounting Hubble’s space repair mission, Charlie dedicated himself to understanding how social forces affect people and teams.
Since then he has worked with over 1,000 teams to enhance performance and reduce risk.
Natalie Ashdown interviews one of NASA’s mostly highly decorated scientists and one the most experienced leaders in the world, Charlie Pellerin, to explore his insights on leadership, particularly in times of crisis, in this not to be missed webinar.
