Maintaining confidentiality whilst navigating stakeholder requirements
During a recent meeting, I sat with the HR Manager and a coachee’s manager to discuss a potential coaching opportunity. At one point, they asked: “What kind of reporting do you do?”
I gave my standard response about confidentiality and who reports outcomes to whom. However, this question made me pause. While we often repeat these answers, we don’t always stop to reflect on how crucial confidentiality is. As workplace coaches, we never take this trust for granted.
