Coaching virtual teams can be a challenge and many of us have had this huge responsibility thrust upon us without warning and less training than we would like.
For some of us working in a virtual environment and coaching virtual teams is nothing new.
We have inter-state or international teams and clients, have the space, the equipment and the routines. But for others it is all new and there are quite a few adjustments to make.
On top of that, the rules are changing around what we can and can’t do; some of us have the kids and partners at home; or the flatmate is also working from home; and we have to get our work done and look after our people!
For some of us, working from home is brilliant – no more one hour commute in traffic or public transport; no more constant interruptions. For others, it’s a new world.
New Work From Home Guidelines
Due to the unprecedented nature of the current crisis the Fair Work Ombudsman has laid out guidelines on who is eligible, how they request the ability to work from home and how employers need to respond.
