Case studies in coaching are really important. They enable us to learn from how other organisations have implemented coaching. Furthermore, they assist with building a business case for coaching the workplace.

9,000 members of Air Force have attended the internal Coaching 101 course

We are incredibly proud of our relationship with Air Force which started back in 2015 when the first stakeholders from Air Force joined our Certificate IV in Workplace and Business Coaching program. Since those early beginnings many members of Air Force have attended the training to become qualified workplace coaches. Furthermore, these members have then gone on to deliver the bespoke Air Force Coaching 101 course. This has resulted in over 9,000 members of Air Force attending the internal Coaching 101 course (at the time of writing).

A fundamental enabler of transformation and empowerment

Air Force see coaching as being a fundamental enabler of transformation and empowerment. With this in mind, during our International Coach Week 2021 program, Squadron Leader Anita Green shared how the implementation of coaching into Air Force is following Open Door’s Coaching Culture Framework. You can watch the video of the full presentation. The presentation includes discussion on the strategic intent behind the implementation of implementation at Air Force. Importantly, also some of the challenges for us to learn from.

What have been the results?

The results of the implementation have been remarkable. Commanding Officers were asked to comment on behavioural change they had observed. Specifically in relation to coaching. They provided feedback as follows:
